About Me

Hello! I’m Kaiyo, a dedicated high school student with a passion for programming and technology. My journey in programming is all over the place and is quite interesting. I began in 2017 with C# through Unity tutorials, where I spent a year developing games. One of my notable projects was a car game, inspired by YouTube videos I enjoyed as a kid. The game featured chaotic AI cars and obstacles, offering a thrilling driving experience.

After my time with C#, I explored Scratch, where I created a variety of projects. You can check out my Scratch profile here. During this period, I also started learning Python, which became a significant part of my programming toolkit. Although my initial C# knowledge was limited to tutorials and isn't as strong today, I transitioned to Lua for a time.

In Lua, I primarily assisted my brother with various projects and worked on a few experimental projects, including a DIY VR headset. Although the headset project was never completed, it laid the groundwork for future endeavors. My friend and I later attempted to remake the VR headset in C#, but we didn’t finish it either. Since then, I’ve returned to Python and more recently, delved into C++ for embedded systems.

My current major project is a smartwatch, designed to be feature-rich while maintaining a slim profile. It incorporates Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), haptic feedback, heart rate monitoring, step tracking, and operates on a custom-built OS. You can find more about this project in the smartwatch documentation.

Currently, I work with C++ in my job and continue to deepen my knowledge of the language. The code for my smartwatch represents my initial foray into C++, so it’s not perfect. However, I’ve significantly improved my skills since then.
